Buttermilk Pie


1 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract

* Preheat oven to 350 degrees

* In a large bowl combine sugar, flour, salt, and nutmeg. Using a wire 
   whisk, blend in eggs. Add the buttermilk and vanilla, beat until smooth.
   Pour into a pie shell and bake 45-55 minutes, or until knife comes out
   nearly clean.
